The Molotov Cocktail Magazine is one of my favorite short fiction venues. There’s something about the tone of the stories they publish and those they select as winners in their quarterly contests that appeals to me personally. Something about the emotional exploration of mostly awful happenings that I enjoy. Perhaps it’s my hopeful misanthrope lurking deep within. Or not so deep.
I found out tonight that Molotov nominated two stories for 2021’s Best-of-the-Net anthology: my story “Reveals the Wicked” and Aeryn Rudel’s brilliant “Toward the Sun”. This is my first nomination for any of my short fiction. I’m thrilled it came from the great people at Molotov.
